Where movement creates opportunity.
At Northern Peak Physiotherapy, we help people move with confidence and get back to doing the things they love.
Inspired by Tasmania's outdoor lifestyle, we have a particular passion for supporting runners, hikers, and active individuals, while welcoming people of all ages, backgrounds, and activity levels.
Northern Peak Physiotherapy is proudly located within one of Australia's leading strength, nutrition, athlete development, and personal training centres. With access to world-class gym equipment and a high-performance training environment, we are uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between rehabilitation, strength, and long-term performance.
Whether your goal is completing your first walk around the block, returning to work pain-free, conquering a Tasmanian hiking trail, or chasing a new personal best, we're here to help you get there.
Move well. Explore more.
Meet Jessica
Jessica Holwill is the founder and principal physiotherapist at Northern Peak Physiotherapy.
Born and raised in Tasmania, Jess has always been passionate about movement, sport, and the outdoors. From trail running and hiking, strength training, daily walks with her rescue greyhound Loki, orienteering, and even gemstone fossicking, she understands the important role physical activity plays in health, wellbeing, hobbies and living a fulfilling life.
Jess holds a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science from Deakin University, and a Doctor of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne. Since graduating, she has worked in private practice, helping a diverse range of clients including recreational exercisers, runners, NDIS participants, WorkCover, MAIB, and DVA clients, as well as athletes, individuals recovering from sporting injuries, and pre/post-operatively.
Her clinical interests include running-related injuries, foot and ankle conditions, strength and exercise-based rehabilitation, and helping people of all ages and abilities build confidence through movement. She is particularly passionate about helping people return to the activities they enjoy, whether that's competing in sport, tackling a hiking trail, keeping up with family, or simply moving through daily life with less pain.
Jess is committed to ongoing professional development and has completed the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Sports Physiotherapy Level 1 and Level 2 programs. She also contributes to the profession as a member of the Tasmanian branch of the APA Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy Committee, a Sports Medicine Australia (SMA) Tasmanian Branch Council member, and a Para Powerlifting Medical Classifier for Paralympics Australia.
Known for her friendly and collaborative approach, Jess believes that the best outcomes come from understanding each person's unique goals and creating a plan that fits their lifestyle. Her aim is to empower clients with the knowledge, confidence, and tools they need to move well for the long term.
